Walking Revelations

I watched a sermon recently that stated how God’s creation testifies of Him.

As I was enjoying my walk with my dog friend I started looking around and asked, “What does everything I see reveal about God?”

I saw beautiful flowers, buzzing bees, spectacular skies and mesmerising animals as well as many houses, planes soaring overhead and birdsong travelling from their little lungs to my ears.

His Creation revealed to me that God is:

  • Amazing
  • Beautiful
  • Colourful
  • Gravity defying
  • Creative
  • Precise
  • Detailed
  • Complete
  • Kind
  • Permitting
  • Lovely
  • Diverse
  • Providing
  • Knowable
  • Identifiable
  • Perfect
  • Brilliant
  • Fun
  • Comforting
  • There are many more attributes of course but these are what came to mind during my walk through His world as I surveyed the beautiful things he created and allowed to be created.
  • Amen.
  • Revived

    You make me whole

    Nothing’s too hard for you

    My heart’s your home

You’re closer than I’ve ever known.

    When on my own

    I know I’m not alone

    You give me hope

When shadows come you light my way.

    Trusting you has been hard

    I thought I knew better

You gave me eyes to see.

    When I sleep

You give me dreams that come alive.

    Pre-warnings

Before they happen in my life

    You give me chances

    You provide

The way, the way, that I’ll survive.

    Heaven is here

    You’re building through my being

    As I draw near

    I see perfection reappear.

Now I know just how far

You have come to change my heart

You gave me ears to hear.

    I love you

But I know you loved me first

    You give me

    Everything that works.

I just wanna know you more

I just wanna know you more.

    Show me the way

Show me the next footsteps to take

    This ain’t a game

    This is a war

    On a spiritual plane.

    Ready my heart

    Give me your strength

    Teach me I pray.

    The Sweetest Things

After seeing the sweetest, tiny bumblebee rolling around inside a pink flower collecting pollen I was told there was a ladybird nearby which was so beautiful and small.

    Snow Crochet

    fender snow

Today it snowed! He is very comfortable in the snow. We got to enjoy a little walk later on in the evening. I stayed in most of the day and watched the world go by. Birds are amazing; they adapt to the weather. I saw many that flew and soared with the wind and prayed they would find rest. It looked exhausting.

It was Onyx’s first time feeling the snow. As I opened the door she ran towards it as usual as she loves the garden, but she stopped so quickly and observed until I decided it was time to greet the others.

    wag 2

We were visited by three bird species today; Pigeons, Starlings and a Wagtail. I was focused on the Wagtail a lot as it is the newest visitor. I always see them walking so fast that their legs start blurring or flitting incessantly at vehicle mirrors trying to catch insects and today one was in my garden!

    wag 3

The little Starling has visited for a couple of days and I can tell which one it is because it doesn’t fly away when I open/close the door unlike the others of its kind (watch this space). The regulars perch and wait.

I also started crocheting again recently and today I made a little panel for one of our windows. It isn’t exactly like the pattern; I added more rounds and stretched it into a diamond shape to make it fit but I like the result.

I didn’t think about it at the time but it really fits with the snowy theme of the day.
